The Sequester, the Budget Process, and OMNIBUS Legislation

It is a shock to see both the SENATE and the PRESIDENT recommend Bill of Attainder to do away with the HOUSE of Representatives constitutionally mandated process.

The US constitutional Budget Process MUST originate in and by the will of the people, as represented in the House of Representatives.

The Budget Process was never an all or none process until the lazy SENATE imposed its will over the HOUSE back in the 1960’s for the entire Government Budget to be presented at one time so they all could go home early.

Over time, the OMNIBUS legislation process has corrupted the entire congress beyond recognition as Congress critters in both the House and the Senate routinely add not related projects and huge PORK spending to a Federal Budget Bill and that now has institutionalized government funding PORK without representation.

Since the 17th Amendment, the Senate has had too much opportunity to corrupt the Congressional processes and this has come to pass.

The HOUSE is charged with representing the People and the people do not want OBAMACARE. The People want equal protection under the Constitution and the sitting president is the most seditious in history, against constitutional process.
When OMNIBUS legislation process initially became popular, the call for a Presidential line item veto was heard but never answered.

Today the HOUSE has reverted back to the CONSTITUTIONALLY MANDATED PROCESS – A BUDGET PASSED LINE BY LINE ON MERIT.

The SENATE has all but forgotten its Constitutional charge to act in the best interests of their respective states, after all, 36 STATES HAVE ELECTED NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN OBAMACARE.

A Bill of Attainder is unconstitutionally directed by the President and the Senate at the HOUSE, without the will of the People. Sovereignty is the casualty.

The Counting Has Stopped, Our “Elected” Officials are Determined

We tea partiers, as fiscal conservatives, small government advocates, and free market supporters, have had a rough two weeks.  Now we need to recoup and determine where we go from here.  I just spent 4 days in Washington, DC with the national Tea Party Patriots.  We spent that time analyzing what has come to pass and brainstorming what needs to be done in the future.

What is very clear is that the liberals have been preparing for this November’s election for six years.  The fact is that they created offices and sophisticated social media systems around the country in 2006.  These offices and social media programs have not only been maintained but their effectiveness enhanced over the past 6 years — resulting in an almost total victory in 2012 at local, state, and federal levels!

My husband received an email from a friend this week that the tea party failed.  His insinuation was the tea party was responsible for the losses because we didn’t do enough. I vehemently disagree!  Maybe we didn’t do enough but many tea partiers put their lives on hold for the last two months, touching over 20,000 voters in Palm Beach County alone.  If you were one of those people, I thank you from the bottom of my heart!  You can take gratification in having given your best in working for change.  If you did not help with our Get out the Vote (GOTV) effort, I invite you to help us starting today to dig our way out of this mess!

We only have 23 months to turn things around in the November 1914 elections!  The opposition has droves of people looking to promote the big government/entitlement driven agenda.

What is our plan moving forward?  First, we are going to take a December break from our monthly meetings.  However, we do want to have an Action Planning Meeting on Tuesday, December 4th at 6:30 pm at the Palm Beach Gardens Library.  More information to follow.

We will continue to keep you updated on key issues that align with our three tenets of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and free markets.  The goal is that each and every one of us have key facts that we can spout when countering our liberal friends.  Remember, we want to calmly counter their emotion-charged rhetoric with solid indisputable facts!

One last thing, I cannot end this email without making a statement about the recent elections.  I solemnly believe that these election results were not the will of the majority of the people who live and work in South Florida!

 

This is Your Wake Up Call!

Today is a very sad day.  I am sitting here in Washington, DC with about 50 fellow patriots.  All of us were checked out of our hotel room by 6 am this morning and standing on the steps of the Supreme Court by 6:30am.  We said the pledge of allegiance, sang patriotic songs, chanted things like “See that flag a flying hi makes me proud as I pass by  “, and silently prayed that the announcement that the Supreme Court would declare the Affordable Care Act (ACA) unconstitutional.  As you know, that did not happen and the worst case scenario unfolded.  The Supreme Court upheld  ACA or “ObamaCare” as it is affectionately called by both sides.

Should we, the tea party, consider this a win for the opposition and a loss for us.  Yes, it was a win for them but we should also consider this a wakeup call for America and especially for the tea party!  We have an opportunity now to energize the masses.  The Supreme Court declared ObamaCare a tax — a tax for all people, poor, middle income, and rich alike!  The administration orchestrated a President Franklin D. Roosevelt-like bait and switch.  President Roosevelt first sold social security to the masses as benefit, not a tax; then when challenged by the Supreme Court, he declared it a tax . . . and won!  This is exactly what happened today!

Everyone is asking what does this mean?  The news reporters asked where is the tea party going from here?  Does this signal an end to the tea party?  Very quickly the leftists surrounded us and declared that the tea party “does not care about people needing health care.”  This could not be further than the truth!

Tea party groups across the country are focused on quality health care for any person, irrespective of their income situation and if they want it.  Tea partiers believe that we must repeal the ACA in full and replace it with effective free-market based solutions.

Simply stated, the tea party stances are reflective of the majority of the American people.  Per a June poll by NYT/CBS, 68% of the American voters want all or part of ObamaCare repealed.  Per a YG Network June poll, 92% say they are already satisfied with their healthcare (pre ObamaCare) and 90% say that their health care costs have gone up or stayed the same since ObamaCare passed.  Per a June 13th Rasmussen poll, those who strongly favor repeal is almost double those that strongly oppose repeal.

So what does this mean for the tea party?  It means that we energize America against this very pervasive tax that will effect everyone.  We fight to repeal ACA with a newly minted handle:  “Repeal the ObamaCare Tax!”

We need to focus on the costs, on its impact on our economy, the inevitable reduction in the quality of health care in this country, the rationing power of Medicare imbedded in the law, the Medicare payment cuts imbedded int he law, and the overall higher health care costs for every person and every company that must now provide healthcare benefits for their employees.  We cannot give up!  America’s future depends on our effort!

We are on the steep, slippery slope to socialized medicine!  We need to make today a turning point — the first day of our renewed effort to repeal the ObamaCare tax!
