Wellingon Chapter discusses Term Limits
Gina Rascati, Wellington Chapter Leader, began our November meeting by reporting on the State Tea Party Convention in Daytona Beach. Pam Wohlschlegel, president of Palm Beach County Tea Party and state co-ordinator for Tea Party Patriots, announced the senatorial forum for our December meeting.
Philip Blumel, our keynote speaker, was acknowledged as the leader of the effort to set term limits for the Palm Beach County Commission. He is also the national director of US Term Limits and discussed the importance of term limits and how voters overwhelmingly approve term limits whenever it’s on the ballot. The lawmakers are the ones that oppose it. But, Philip ascerted that there are way more of “us” than “them”.
Announcements: Pam mentioned two events for this week – Tuesday, 11/15, Anita MonCrief – Acorn Whistleblower/Brandon Darby – FBI Informant; and a Herman Cain Rally on Wednesday 11/16. Terry Brady – co-founder, mentioned the upcoming Fashion Show Luncheon. Mike Lamayer, candidate for Fl. Senate District 25 was also present.
Blumel’s mother won the 50/50 raffle-$60.00. Binks Forest provided a scrumptious buffet (salad, rolls, green beans, carrots, barbecue ribs, mashed potatoes, beef sirloin and chocolate cake for desert. We ended the meeting well nourished and informed.

Anne Gannon featured at Wellington Gathering
Guest Speaker, Constitutional Palm Beach County Tax Collector, Anne Gannon, spoke to a full room about the upcoming charter review being done by the Palm Beach County Commission. Typically, these reviews are done by volunteer citizens; however, the county commission appointed themselves as the charter review committee. One item that has been discussed for a charter change is eliminating the elected constitutional officers and replacing them with appointees. The workshop in which the county commission will decide what to put on the November 2012 ballot is scheduled for November 29th in the chambers at the Governmental Center. Anne encouraged the audience to contact the County Commissioners and voice their opinion.
Terry Brady announced that he was very pleased with the Gold Rush Party hosted by Mel and Barbara Grossman because it was a big success, having put $500 in our coffers. He invited members to host more parties to raise money for us. Pam Wohlschlegel gave details on the November Tea Party Convention in Daytona Beach and her efforts to secure a bus for us. Gina Rascati thanked Anne Gannon for coming and apprising us of the upcoming charter review and appreciated all the questions posed by the audience. Binks Forest provided a delicious chicken parmesian and fish entry, salad, bread, vegetables, coffee, tea and scrumptious petit feurs for desert.
