Second Annual Labor Day Barbeque – A Great Time Was Had By All !

Beautiful skies, no rain, a gentle breeze, great friends, food and celebration of those values that make America an exceptional Nation were enjoyed by all Monday afternoon. Speakers as well as the afternoon’s music emphasized the good and exceptional qualities of America and her people while we were also cautioned by the speakers of the current administration’s disregard of the Constitution and separation of powers between the Legislative, Executive and Judicial branches, the negative impact of over-regulation and the soon to be stifling tax increases, already enacted. Looming deadlines of the American Affordable (Un-Affordable) Health Care Act, aka Obama Care and Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act are set to trigger primarily after the November election, saving the worst impacts until the Presidential and Congressional elections are history – thus our only hope is to “repeal and replace”.

Requests were made for Poll Watcher volunteers and were referred to Mr. Joe Madej who has been successful in signing up volunteers to date – let’s cover all the polling sites in Palm Beach County ! Further announcements were made of the upcoming Freedom from the UN Rally to be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Tallahassee, and that Lynne Sherrer is available to help with new voter registration, address changes, party change and card replacements. See or contact Lynne.

Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, Special Warfare Operator First Class,U.S. Navy, one of thirty US Military personnel who died in the crash of their Chinook helicopter in Wardak Province of Afghanistan spoke of their son’s steadfast Christian faith and commitment to America, fellow Seal Team members and family. The enormously-increased frequency of missions by Special Forces coupled with restrictive Rules Of Engagement and shortage of current technology transport aircraft are contributing to heavy loss of American military personnel; additionally, critical injuries to American service personnel have greatly increased over the past several years. Our prayers are with all family members, Aaron’s wife Kimberly, three year old son Reagan and fifteen month old daughter Chamberlyn. (See Mother of SEAL Criticizes Obama Ad)

Pam Wohlschlegel, co-founder of and the county coordinator for Palm Beach County Tea Party (and Florida State Coordinator for Tea Party Patriots) recapped impressions of the Tampa RNC and stated several very anti-business and negative “ObamaCare” impacts to our liberties slated for the next four years, lest we retire our sitting President. Pam then introduced Congressman Allen West.

Congressman West spoke of service to country and the need to have leadership in Washington DC. Amid escalating and thunderous applause, Congressman West pointed out each of the “Gang Patches” as referred to by his opponent Patrick Murphy. Each patch had to do with LtCol (Ret) West’s military service, and of course, not “gangs” as implied by Murphy. West also explained the enormous increases to income, dividend and capital gains taxes that are already-enacted by the Obama administration to begin next year. Dividend taxes will explode from 15 percent to 39.6 percent, capital gains from 15 to 20 percent.

NOTE: In addition to the above increases stated by Congressman West, with payroll tax rate cuts likely to expire and personal income, payroll taxes and other “Affordable Care” taxes, real increases in tax burden will range from 25 to 40 percent INCREASE for under $250K and over $250K joint income categories. These are capital-consuming social program-absorbed dollars and leave nothing to pay off the current and escalating national debt / unfunded liabilities. If $1 Billion were paid EACH DAY toward the US Unfunded Liabilities, it will require over 329 years to repay – only that which is currently due at present. For a dizzying “financial statement” and summary of this very real and virus-like problem, go to usdebtclock.org.

The next Jupiter- Palm Beach Gardens Chapter Meeting will be Monday, August 6, 2012 at Abacoa Golf Club, Jupiter and will be a Candidate Forum for the District 82 Florida House Seat.  The Forum is  jointly sponsored by our South Florida 912 friends and those candidates confirmed to attend include:  Carl J. Domino (REP), Mary Lynn Magar (REP), Jonathan W. Milton (REP), Jonathan “Jon” W. Pasqualone (REP) and Calvin D. Turnquest (REP).

Doors will open at 5:00 with dinner buffet at 5:30, Dr. Dave Weldon speaking at 6pm  and the Candidate Forum beginning at 7:00 PM.  Be there, it will be an interesting and very timely meeting!

Mr. Brian Mudd of  WJNO has accepted our invitation to moderate the Candidate Forum and South Florida 912  will assist in time keeping of responses.  Questions are being developed relative to our Tea Party / SFL912  precepts of Fiscal Responsibility, Limited Government and Free Markets and more specifically – how the candidate’s presence in the Florida House can make a difference for genuine Constitutional Governance; first in Florida, then serving as an example to other States on a national scale.

And now, we get to meet Dr. Dave Weldon, US Senate candidate and hear from him between dinner and our Florida District 82 House Candidate Forum!  Dr. Weldon is a practicing physician in Melbourne, Fl and was US Representative from 1994 to 2008.  This will make it a near sweep on hearing personally from each of our Senate primary candidates.  (See the Voters’ Guide on the Senate Race.)  This promises to be a packed and very informative evening, hope to see you there.

Jupiter-Palm Beach Gardens Chapter To Hear From Local Councilman – June 4

Jupiter Councilman Jim Kuretski will be our guest speaker at the June 4, 2012 meeting at Abacoa Golf Club. As always, doors open at 5:30 PM, social time until buffet at 6:00 PM and Meeting starts at 7:00 pm with announcements, reports and speaker.

Since many local elected office holders move on to state and national government elected office, the Palm Beach County Tea Party believes that participation in and awareness of local government is very important. Participation in local government is efficient and necessary if we are to affect positive political change and insist on 1) Fiscal Responsibility, 2) Limited Government and 3) Support of Free Markets.

To this end, Jim Kuretski will inform us of his experiences and challenges in serving the people of Jupiter both as Councilman and as a member on various boards and committees. Mr. Kuretski has strong convictions regarding fiscal responsibilities and full disclosure by government entities as to how the taxpayer’s dollars are being obligated. Hopefully, we will learn how we may be more effective in supporting him and others like him in local government. It all starts locally and that is where our voices can have the greatest impact; come join us on June 4 at Abacoa Golf Club !

Jupiter-Palm Beach Gardens Chapter Schooled On Constitution; Book August 18 For More

As only Constitutional scholar KrisAnne Hall can summarize, an excellent and inspiring treatise of the four source documents to our Constitution was set forth on the evening of May 7 at Abacoa Golf Club. The one hundred plus crowd went away with a new-gained perspective on the sequential development and foundation to our United States Constitution and most significantly, the similarities to current times and applicability.

Attorney Hall is blessed with not only an immense knowledge and teaching skill but the heart of a warrior and the humbleness of His servant. In response to membership requests, KrisAnne has committed to a Jupiter-Palm Beach Gardens seminar on August 18, 2012. This seminar will run five hours and provide us with a better understanding of our Constitution, it’s principles and founding fathers’ intentions and inspirations.

More details will be forthcoming on the location, time and meal arrangements. Please set the date on your calendar now. Invitations will be extended to local government and business leaders as well as the general public. Armed with the “whole picture” the words of the Constitution and supporting documents take root in our hearts and minds. This internalization at a personal level is essential to genuine debate and moving this Great Nation forward for positive change.

We the people must more genuinely educate ourselves if we are to be effective at defending our liberties. Knowing of the United States Constitution is much different than knowing the hearts and minds and inspirations of our founding fathers, their sacrifices and aspirations. Come join us for a great day of learning and participation with KrisAnne Hall; I am certain that as always – she will not cease to amaze us with the knowledge and understanding she imparts !

Energy and Climate Realities a Big Hit at Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens Meeting

Jupiter/PBG guests enjoyed the presentation of “Energy and Climate Realities” regarding the United States’ energy abundance and Government hindrances to increased production of fossil fuel-based electrical power. Mark Wohlschlegel, Vice President Toshiba Controls also noted the old CO2/Greenhouse Gas arguments still being used by our Government to shut down coal powered energy production.  Furthermore, despite the inefficiencies and peak demand capacity shortfalls of alternative energy, wind and solar power are still being supported politically, most recently in Florida thru HB 7117 – not yet signed by Governor Scott.

Lillia Dottavi, a Councilwoman in Rome represented Tea Party Italy and spoke of the Italian socialized medical care system which has proven disastrous to both the population and to the budgets of government, noting that eighty percent (80%) of current budgets is for medical care.  Lillia commented that Italy has the flag, youth of the country and the senior citizens in common with the American Tea Party.

Blaine Presley, our youngest old timer in the Palm Beach County Tea Party lauded us to “keep up the fight”.  Barbara Samuells of 912 Super Seniors spoke of her recent visit as guest of Glenn Beck at Mercury One studios in Dallas and of how gentle and kind a man is Glenn.  Barbara spoke to Obama Care’s fallacious “urgency” argument, though 85% of Americans are presently insured and that the only net gain is for 5 to 10 % of the population to become insured (but then where’s the control for Big Government ?).  Most of us learned for the first time of Soros and Son’s efforts to fund a giant blitz on the states to pass “popular vote” legislation, doing away with the Electoral College.  This is critical, all hands on deck to oppose this !

Pam Wohlschlegel, Head of PBCTP and Florida Director for Tea Party Patriots updated us on statewide initiatives between the Tea Party Patriots organizations and her recent trip to Orlando, see more on this in Pam’s 3/31/2012 post.  Pam conveyed her excitement for the upcoming Tax Day Tea Party at the Wellington Amphitheater, Sunday April 15, 2012 as she reviewed the great roster of speakers to include Allen West and Dick Morris among others and to feature the band “LEVEL”.

Barbara Grossman closed out the evening with the declaration of winners for the Restaurant Gift Certificate Raffle.  A good time was had by all; the next  meeting of the Jupiter/Palm Beach Gardens Chapter of the Palm Beach County Tea Party will be May 7, 2012 at Abacoa Golf Club, 5:30 PM.
