  1. Lou Petrofes says:

Short term rentals create many problems for our neighborhoods. HOA’s that have Documents prohibiting short term rentals cannot enforce them because the State and Town of Jupiter do not have ordinances prohibiting short term rentals in residential neighborhoods. The result is communities are being turned into Hotel and Motel districts. If an ordinance was passed taxing short term rentals the same way Hotels and Motels are taxed owners would not be inclined to register their homes as B&B’s or offer them for weekly rentals when HOA documents prohibit rentals of less than 6 or 12 months. Would either candidate support such an ordinance?

  2. Mary Michaels says:

Jupiter has many dog friendly beaches. It is not an unreasonable expectation that the beaches posting no dogs with the stated ordinance be dog free. What can be done to keep the dogs off the dog free beaches? Who is responsible for enforcing that ordinance? Similarly, dogs are in our grocery stores and carts, hair salons and other places where hygiene and cleanliness are of a concern. What can the town do to keep dogs where they belong?
